Consumer Reports
71/100 (78 is the highest in the
category)
The TomTom Go 930T is a premium, full-featured unit with very good
navigation abilities and many desirable extra features. Like other
TomToms, the Go 930T allows users to install customized voices. The
TomTom Go 930 has the same features as the Go 930T but lacks the
RDS-TMC traffic receiver.

You don't have to sacrifice excellent navigation features to get
multimedia extras on a GPS product: The TomTom GO 930 delivers both.
This slick-looking unit packs in almost every feature you could
want, while still managing to find some of the best routes of any
personal navigation system I tested.

The new x30 range undoubtedly maintains the 720's position as king
of in-car sat-navs, with its improved route-finding abilities and
lane assistance. But the changes, though innovative and useful,
aren't the sort of major improvements you'd want to upgrade for, and
while stocks of the x20 range still exist, the older models
represent a better deal. If you want the ultimate in-car sat-nav,
money is no object, and you don't have one already, the 930 Traffic
and its slightly less expensive brethren are most certainly the
devices to beat.

Excerpts of the
general review rated most useful by readers TomTom added (via
navcore8) historical speed data to the TeleAtlas mapset, greatly
improving not only it's estimated trip times but it's routing
decisions. Whereas TomTom devices have been among the poorest in
drivetime estimates, the 930 is now pretty much dead on for most
trips. In fact, my Garmin, which has always had excellent drive time
accuracy, now is matched and even sometimes bettered by the 930,
depending on time of day.

Pros: Extremely accurate maps
& travel times. U.S and Europe maps included. 4 hour battery time Cons: RDS-RMC antenna cable
should be built into the unit. Battery time needs to be increased.
